Circle or oval-shaped, ripe Australian-grown jujubes are yellow and brown-skinned fruits with red-brown spots. As the fruit ripens and becomes fully mature, jujubes turn entirely red. The redder the fruit, the sweeter the flavour. Jujubes' texture is similar to that of an apple.

Also known as Chinese date or red date, jujubes are grown in the sunshine of Mildura, close to the mighty Murray River, as well as Queensland and South Australia. 

Jujubes are packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
